I really think that everyone is freaking out way too soon. While we are used to seeing WoW come out as a seemingly 'finished' product, what I see wotlk as is more of a base or core for the future. If you look at all of the new things implementing with wrath, it looks to me like they concentrated on getting new mechanics into the game, rather than content. The majority of even basic content isn't in yet (and I don't just mean raids, also gear, crafting recipes, hoping there will be more dailies, etc)Like all projects, you can bet they had deadlines, I really think they had big plans then realized that if they wanted to get this thing out in any kind of reasonable time-frame they were going to have to concentrate on the moving parts and put the hula-girl on later.Enjoy what is in the game now, don't freak about finishing all the content until you are at least STARTED on the content, remember that they have already stated that more is on the way :)Have to admit though, even i'm a bit disappointed by the gear reset but then I wasnt bothered by the bc one myself. I am however capable of realising that it is not tuned for us but rather for fresh lvl 68s. Its not so much the stats at the beginning, they seemed about right, its that they don't scale up as you level ... like at all! I have kept most of my quest gear, and I have items from borean that are just as good as items i'm getting in storm peaks, thats the problem I see with gear. I do hope that they scale it up more from t7+tl;drMy take is that they focused on game mechanics changes and the raiding situation isn't really about hardecore/casual at all. Gear scaleup was a little too weak.
This just goes to show that people always complained about lack of content haha
