Good to see them adding to the old world even if it is random, probably pointless references.
This made me laugh. I demanded his hat as payment during my last D&D campaign since he didn't have the coin to pay us.
The world of warcraft did have an officially published and licensed dnd setting a long time ago. Would love to see that updated for 5e.
I really hope this is a sign of possible future collaborations between WoW and D&D! Maybe we can get an official 5e manual with WoW's races?
How many secrets being tied up to that house? We will see...
As a reminder, it has been shared in the past that new or in training world content creators would create scenes in the game engine that had no real purpose and are basically considered easter eggs as a means of practicing using the tools/publishing content to the live game, before they work on areas that have more direct involvement with players, like quest areas. I would not be surprised if this is one of those areas, created by a new dev who particularly enjoys DnD.With that being said, I would love an officially licensed DnD x WoW crossover again even with all of the lore issues the first one created. I have been casually thinking of trying to run a 5e set in the warcraft universe for a bit now.
A bit of a stretch, but maybe it's related to Grandmaster Vole?We know that Amber Kearnen is now Kearnen The Blade, maybe Volo is who Vole was in life?
Another minor DnD reference in Shadowlands, in the Mists of Tirna Scithe one of the potential mobs in the maze is a dragon (forget the mob name exactly) but it uses an ability 'pool of Radiance', a reference to the old DnD computer game (and novelisations thereof)

weird that it's on the front/road side of the lake.. the back side would be more appropriate. It stands out like a sore thumb on this side..
A most excellent find!
I would love this to be a Forgotten Realms reference but then I would expect books instead of all the alchemical stuff.
What's also strange is this house is a resting area.
Could they release an updated tabletop RPG now that D&D5 is freely licensed?Maybe...
Humans cutting trees again!
kudos for using old models within older zones. using newer models in older zones is just horrible.
