Tossing in my 2 cents here as well. I am a 218 prot paladin with KSM and some 16s under my belt. Nothing to impressive but I'm fairly happy with it atm. After having done some of the dungeons that received nerfs this week I can say it was not enough. I still get trucked in keys. It feels terrible. Tanking in general is awful this expansion. The mobs in Mists have me clenching my butthole the entire time even at a +15 level. These mobs literally need another 50% nerf.Other Side inner ring trash mobs still ruin my day. Cannot be face tanked even on a lower +12 key at 218 item level. Seriously sad. I actually died in a 12 the moment my Ardent Defender dropped. Right through the worthless Shield of the Righteous I fell way faster than I thought. Granted the healer was new but no way I should have dropped so fast.HoA I can see we decided not to nerf the dogs for some reason. Still require kiting and there's at least 4-5 dog packs you pull in HoA. Spires. How come the dogs were not nerfed here? Still require to much kiting. The venom spitting mobs still deal to much damage as well.My proposed fixes at this point. Nerf white hit damage 15-20% across the board. Flat out heavy handed 15-20% nerfs. Nerf the dogs in HoA, dogs in Spires and mobs in Mists again. Still deal to much damage.Make prot paladin shield of the righteous more valuable. Seriously I can't tell if its up sometimes because I still feel like paper.
i had a prot pally toping boss damage in fights in sanguine depths like idk dont seem right lol.

tbh I have played tanks ever since TBC and while kiting is an important part of tanking sometimes - the way it is currently is just annoying as hell. I am a dude in plate armor and a big ass shield and yet I run around some clothy that pulled aggro. I feel like one too.
The high tank damage and target caps are Blizzard's way of "slowing things down". No one actually wants to play the game like that.
Whatever happned to cc'ing dangerous mobs and not tank'n'spanking packs of mobs? Used to be the norm earlier in the game.
I'd rather have that, because it involves actual gameplay, over not being able to use a mount in the Maw or malevolent terrain design that basically makes navigating and getting from point A to point B in the open world a PITA, or timegated content.@VarusEu
I stopped M+ on higher levels. I help on M+5-8 to gear up my friends alts but thats it. "Tanking" is a Benny Hill show right now.
Does anyone actually enjoy 'tank-kiting' as gameplay?
Legion tanking was indeed fun but it was fun because it was broken, running +15 keys with my blood dk and (except necro weeks) I did not care wether there was a healer or not. You could literally pull half the dungeon and outsustain nearly anything mobs/bosses threw at you, it was fun but it was a joke.
