To make the beasts more useful, stack the trait where they explode at low health (if you possibly can). With three of those traits, I was pulling huge packs and the beast would explode and nuke everything.
is it just me but anyone else pick the tank ,i did and quit on the first floor the crazy pet pulls like the whole room then dies and then i die with to many enemies.its like a hunters per gone wild.i wont use the stupid thing ever again unless they fix it.the pet pulled the room then went on into the other room and started pulling it.
They buffed the damage from the beasts, though how much i dont know. As a ret main im not risking it lol
I went through Torghast this week, and this event was boring. What's worse is, I felt like picking beast powers over my regular pickups made me weaker instead of adding value! It would also make more sense to have the same beast over a couple weeks, have it slowly gain powers, and then maybe at the end let you use it in the maw or as another mount in the maw.
Honestly, this event sucks. Feels bad getting randomly useless hound upgrades and not even the options between a hound or personal upgrade sometimes. My breaking point is clearing a mob pack and turning around to find my dumbass hound was gnawing on a mawrat the whole time...
I was planning to head into Torghast for the first time this week (besides the intro where you save Baine) so it will be cool to try this out!
Since they didn't say anything about making the beasts have more hp and path better, this will be a pass for me. It's a shame too because I liked the other two events, but this one just falls short of being fun or useful since your pet is always dead.
The beast Horgul is brilliant in Torghast, so much fun, nice to cast for a change on my guardian, and heal the pet from distance. That anima power Volatile Augery was doing like 80% burst damage in one shot on bosses, as I'd taken the anima powers to increase it's health hugely too. I had one group of elites I'd accidentally pulled die in an instant with a single 750k group hit. it's sick! Actually had FUN those four torg runs!
