Totally! And I wouldn't even mind if they would skip Warcraft 2 story, I never found it that interesting. I also played only Warcraft 3 without the knowledge of all the previous stories and it was just fine. And first Warcraft movie already explained the Orcs, so that's more than most people starting with Warcraft 3 had.Now we could just open with something like "After years of skirmishes, Alliance was able to defeat the Orcs, those who surrender were put into internment camps. Among them, even small Go'el who survived the assassination of his mother and grew there as a gladiator, but never stopped dreaming about the freedom. But now, new danger is closing in..."Warcraft 2 skipped, go on with Warcraft 3!
I used to think this but after the recent reveal that the second Warcraft movie would've been about Thrall (and nothing else was mentioned) just goes to show they only cared about orcs, orcs and more orcs. The people at blizzard who wanted the movie and the movie director were all horde fanboys.
Vladimir Kulich as Lich King > Everyone else.
Quite frankly, YES!I read an interview with the director, and his original intention was for the first THREE movies to focus on Warcraft 1-2, and to me that is insane.I am sorry, I love the Warcraft Universe, but let's be honest here; The biggest storyline in it, the one with the greatest amounts of fans, and which makes for the most compelling scenes and character development IS the Rise and Fall of Arthas. This is literally THE big thing. If they had wanted to make three movies, they should have started with this, using the movies to watch Arthas become a Paladin in the first, see his becoming a Death Knight in the second, and then his fall as Lichking in the third. The secondary story running along should have been Thrall and his building of his new Horde.THEN you could have done Prequels. The whole thing was a complete misjudgement of what would draw the audience and what would make for compelling introduction into the Warcraft World.
Henry Cavill could do it. I fully believe that. He will be so passionate and invested in this, since he loves the game so much. Yes bring it in! I want a serie, not a movie that crams a lot of story in two hours and then ruins it.
I believe the story of arthas' demise wouldnt fit into one movie or it would have to be srsly cut and narrowed down which would enrage alot of people.I would suggest probably three movies. For each one I already have a powerful ending in mind but have no clue about the rest and my wc3 days are quite a while back and Im not 100% sure lorewise.Movie 1: establishment of the relationship to uther, fights with the scourge, burning of the "infected" human city and ending in a showdown with malganis with the endcredits showing howling winds and the shores of northrendMovie 2: more of drama focused decline of arthas mental health, bonding with muradin, descend into the cities of the nerub and finishing in a big beatdown of nerubian and scourge armies after muradins death and arthas finally weilding frostmourneMovie 3: here my memory sets out. I believe arthas dies here or something? But in the end the most iconic moments I can remember are arthas murdering his father and mediev (was someone else who could turn into a crow, right?) Flying off. Final scene would probably be arthas putting on the helm of dominance (or whatever its called) and his eyes lighting up blue.Than ofc in end credits a 25 party raid comes around and slaps his ass while he gets strangled by the souls.
Would be great I have a DK on Draenor called Wiitcher. I love the Netflix Witcher tv series. :)
No movies. No tv series. After the first abomination i have no faith that another one would get even a single thing about Warcraft right. Just dont do it. Dont do it.
Of course it should have, it might have not killed the IP before it got started. Save the obscure lore characters no one gives a f--- about for later "origin" stories.
Movie 1 - opening, a child is born, his name is Arthas, ending with the reports of plagueMovie 2 - dealing with plague, journey to Frostmourne, ending with slashing Mal'GanisMovie 3 - Arthas the Lich King arrives home, ending claim the Frozen Throne after the most epic battle with Illidan StormrageThere it is. That's money right there man. Ain't even proper closure. He just sit on Frozen Throne by the end of it, you can literally do whatever you want with him going forward.
No, not under the horribly $%^&ty script and execution we had for a movie. That garbage director and screen writer would have completely ruined the entire plot of Lich King. They @#$%ed up the most simple plot in the first movie, let's not give them another chance to ruin even more lore and plot.
I disagree with some people here and my opinion would have if they wanted a hit they should have made a lk movie instead as it was and has been the most popular expansion, the fact is more people played that xpack than any other at any time so more people would have been familiar with those characters than the wow classic.and cavill would be the perfect lk for that part he is awsome in witcher and it has become one my favorite series. and i also have never even played the witcher but love the series.i wasnt disappointed in the story line of warcraft but i didnt like the cgi and effects of the movie was not that good,i mean some was but something in the movie just seemed missing thru out.it could be i started in classic but didnt really enjoy wow until lk and im one the few that didnt like bc and wod and legion was all about bc was glad when those xpacks were done.just my feelings on the matter
An Arthas movie would be great, but it should be done like from his childhood years, just to flesh out his background, we know the story but more details would be great, and it should b like the Diablo Wrath cinematic
its the part of the franchise even non gamer (i belive even some younger gamers had problems to know the warcraft 1 story) know parts of , so more ppl might understand the story better.
Perhaps, but definitely a different actor.
