This will cause problems, and solve none. Good work Blizzard.
Let shaman be the only class with Lust, as a resto shaman main I will be totaly ok with this change and bres being not longer avaliable for me :)
In this case, let's go back to the beginning, remove the BL from the mage / Hunter, it's a Shaman CD originally, the same for the BR, only the Drood should have it. If we really want to bring the class and not the player, we have to go to the end of things, why some CD (BL & BR) are on 3 class while the others are only brought by 1 alone?
After many expansions and many, many engineer characters, I will miss it. I noticed this in the beta and was holding out they would add a shadowlands Brez for the profession before I decided to drop it or not. Engineer Rez had a long cast and a stand on top of target requirement so it was not ideal, but it really helped out groups of friends without a battlerez in M+. Without that one perk, I can’t see engineering worth it as a profession when the other opinions are so much better and actually profitable. Sorry Blizz, this one is a bad change and I am sorry you made it. Now to figure out which profession between three others I have been eyeing to level. Having been an engineer for a decade and rarely having reason since it did little for anyone but me, and it has never made money, I am really sad to lose this perk
I`ve used it hundreds of times as a healer, and no back-fires so far :p Sure, a ranged, fast cast is preferable, but its better then nothing.
wow maybe I can get in a group finally
I mean Loot-a-rang is still the most convinient item in the game, along with some other early expansion items from ENG, so I won't be giving up ENG any time soon. That said, the last few expansions have been absolutely poo for the profession.
They really, really love resto druids. Sigh.
Can't wait, til Blizzard decides to give a kind of "Battle Res"-shout to warriors, shortly before SL launches.
I am glad they are removing all the pointless items. Seemed to make the game more easy than it already is. Bring a challenge back. Next they need to remove lfg and lfr and then we will be set for a phenomenal expansion 👍
every healer should have bres period.
People seem to fail to realize why this change is actually good. BFA: Right now why would you bring anything other than a rogue dh and mage for your DPS? And probably a paladin or druid as healer? Warrior tank? Monk tank? Yeah...If you look at 25+ keys the meta is there. It exists. This way, it is an attempt by blizzard to shift the meta so that other classes can get acces to higher keys. You want a mage? Might want a DK tank or druid healer. Want a pala healer? Consider bringing a warlock or DK tank. Want a warr tank? Consider bringing boomie or feral/resto, lock, etc. And so on and so on. Right now in BFA you got the engi res, making classes who basically have the CR in their kit, almost obsolete. And by classes I mean locks and Dks - if you do 25s you would likely prefer to bring people who play meta classes with engi CR rather than a warlock or dk who have less survivability. Now, I'm not saying locks or dks will get more survivability thanks to this, but this exact same reason is aimed to bring a larger balance between M+ classes. You can get mages with ice block, barrier AND a CR in BFA - why would u want a warlock who can only bring healthstones and a CR ? 3 against 2 is a fair exchange. This will bring back Legion M+ vibe where the meta was more fluidly spread across the classes, rather than having it dominated by 3-4 specs permanently.
Is there another reason to be an engineer? Seems like a dead profession to me
The fact that the BFA item is being capped doesn't mean they won't have an equivalent version for SL.
