Like I said on the last one - as long as each Covenant gets a comparable thing for a dungeon, it's all good. And it looks like that's the direction they're going.
Honestly the whole thing is overblown, they act as if the problem hasnt existed since ages for any class that some ignorant members of the community thought was "bad".Yet even when people play such classes they still find groups sooner or later to do 15s and blizzard has successfully balanced the game that all specs can do 15s and mythic raid bosses after the first few weeks, after that it becomes an epeen content Blizzard doesnt care about balancing because it isnt worth it. If people discriminate that is a community problem, Blizzard did their job and made all specs/covenants able to do a 15/mythic successfully no matter the comb. (Outside of weeks that short interrupts are mandatory and that's definitely something they need to deal with)
People have been saying they ll get no invites because someone will inspect their azerite/corruptions when these systems were announced. This drama happens every time anew system is implemented and instead of realizing the community is the problem, they pretend the world is ending and nobody will invite the, unless they are ultra meta comb build.
By the time people are geared enough to do M+, that's all they're going to do. M0s don't get run except to help fresh toons get gear, and eventually we'll be able to just jump straight into mythics to help gear a friend. If these bonuses aren't present in M+, they'll become irrelevant very quickly. That's bad.I want these bonuses in M+ and they might be something I consider when forming groups with my guild, but I suspect that the weekly affixes are to determine whether or not we want to run mythics more than whether or not we're taking a Kyrian into Necrotic Wake.
And for what it's worth: If you're running with people who won't take you because of your Covenant choice, run with new people. Believe it or not, the game still requires you to be social. I cleared Heroic Nyalotha with my guild and a bunch of pugs that became permanent members of our raid roster because we enjoyed them, they enjoyed us, and we played well together, so we kept inviting them back and they kept joining. And because we're all friends, I'm going to invite them to M+ regardless of their Covenant choices because I know they're a good player regardless. Make friends. Build connections. All those things you guys say was so important in Vanilla that's dead in BfA. You're lying to yourselves, because it isn't.
You won't be denied. You only need a single kyrian player.
friendly reminder that WoW is an MMORPG and not an MMOEsport. stuff like this is great as a little RPG element, its similar to those bots in Mechagon that gave you buffs if you clicked on them.
This is horrible. Please scrap immediately.
Seems like this buff is being blown out of proportion. While the grievances for M+ is there, the buff only lasts a good 40 seconds. That's not really that long of a time unless you plan to go big cahones and grab six packs with the 80% damage reduction and nuke it down with AoE--which is capped now, so you can't really do it on the scale you can in BfA.I see the problems with the system, but again, its only 40 seconds, in a dungeon that could take ~25 minutes.
Thanks for nothing.
No matter what, there will be a "bis" covenant for each and every specc and playstyle. Some players will choose this covenant due to it simming better than other. Nothing wrong with this. Other players will choose what they believe might be more fun or give a better transmog. Also nothing wrong with this. Now, what from what I read in the comments, people are saying that players will do "LF Kyrian DPS" etc. meaning that they'll lose their spot because of this.If you play any other covenant than Kyrian, and that's what they're looking for, I think it's safe to assume that non of the other 4 members are Kyrians. You could have been one of the first 4 you know. If there's always a shortage on Kyrians, we could probably assume that's because they're the least attractive covenant in the game, for every class and specc. If there's no Kyrians, players will either stop looking for them, and just go with something else, due to the time it takes to gather a "perfect" group. If there's no Kyrians, and you never get invited to any group because of that (strange logic since it only applies to one dungeon, but lets go with it), you could change to Kyrian, making your character more attractive (at least for this specific dungeon). No matter what covenant you choose, there'll always be one dungeon that your covenant is more wanted, but three were they aren't. Now, how would the above look if we removed the bonuses?People would advertise for the bis covenant class/specc combo. For example it could've been "LF Kyrian DPS Warrior". Notice the difference, this is way more specific than saying just DPS. Now, the big difference here is that people who plays dps warrior and hasn't choosen Kyrian, will never be as attractive as someone who has. Making their choice of covenant have a larger negative impact on their gameplay, and almost forcing them to switch. All this because of some illusion of it's required to do M+ 0 - 15 with some perfect meta setup. So the positives these bonuses brings to the game is;- Making player more comfortable with playing with players who are not of a certain covenant and class/specc combo- Making all players feel better about their covenant choices ( I would argue that many people wouldn't pick cov x over cov y if bis weren't a factor)And negatives- Competitive m+ will need to find a meta with covenants / classes / speccs- It could potentially be easier to do a m+ in time with a certain covenant-- Shouldn't be a huge prob when using LFG tool-- Could potentially be a prob with guild/friend runs. But then you almost always is on Disc or similar, giving you an edge anwyays. Also, remember that if you always do dungeons with the same 4 other people, you need to have;- 5/0/0/0 covenant setup to only have a bonus in one dungeon- 4/1/0/0, 3/2/0/0 covenant setup to only have bonuses in two dungeons- 2/2/1/0, 3/1/1/0 covenant setup to only have bonuses in three dungeons- 1/1/1/2 covenant setup to have all four dungeon bonuses. Now we don't know which the bis convenants are for each specc, and how represented that class / specc is in the game, so there's no way to give any real indication of what the probability would be for each above setup, but I thikn we'll be fine. There's too much drama over nothing tbh. Unless you're doing race to worldfirst, competive M+ or high ranked PvP, it won't matter what coveanant setup you play with.
they are evolving just backwards
