blizzard you learned this in vanilla that punishment systems dont work. cleansing all the junk until cap over powers it. gonig to have peice you cant put on for months...and mythic plus not is always corrupted dumb
Just cleanse pieces if they have corruption if you don't like the system. Also, I'm glad they actually made the corruption levels have equal efficiency...before, it would have been better to have tier 1 corruption and just have more pieces. Before, it would have been 2 pieces of tier3 corruption would give you 8% crit damage with 50 corruption...but 5 pieces of tier 1 would have given you 10% crit damage for 50 corruption...you would have hated getting tier 3 rather than tier 1.
I don't really get the people saying "it'll make you think about your gear" or "it'll require intelligence". We're just gonna sim all of our gear and choose a corruption level we find acceptable. Even then, we'll probably choose the maximum amount of corruption every time, so am I really thinking?
In order to get Min-Max the corruption system in it's current state (Patch 8.3 PTR), you need less than 20 corruption. Meaning you cannot use ANY corruption weapons and only a single normal iLvL item. Afterwards, you need to drop the corruption and begin cleansing the gear you receive on heroic or mythic raids. This is due to the:
Players: "Titanforging has too much rng!"Blizzard: "Ok, here's EVEN MORE rng for you!"
Great... its just a shame we dont have "valor point" upgrades. Vanilla had it right, upgrade via points made it even better, casino ruined it.
Can't wait for this frickin system! Woo!
Feels like every single person complaining seems to ignore the fact that you can cleanse an item if you dont like it.
yes u can cleanse it but it cost time and work to cleanse its not just go here and cleanse....
cleansing should really be free if they r gunna force this system on us specailly since i will have to cleanse my weekly mythic plus chest each week
Does anyone know with the weapon corrupted effects if they are class/role locked?Like for example a Havoc Demon hunter can only equip the fist weapon from the raid so is that the only corrupted "major" effect it would be able to get or can it get others. And if it can get others is it limited to on the damage dealer ones or could it also get the tank/healer ones. I feel like if its the latter it could potentially be very frustrating with the rng. Everyone else getting god tier rolls whilst you keep getting #$%^ty healer procs as a melee dps.I doubt blizz would be THAT cruel/daft but we have seen other interesting ideas that turned out terrible *cough* *cough* garrisons *cough*
These adjusted corruption values is a huge improvement. I hated the fact that you'd get more stat per corruption by sticking with T1 pieces; now it appears that all tiers will give the same amount of stat per corruption. This massively increases your flexibility since now you're free to mix and match different tiers of corruption without being inefficient, rather than just hoping to get tons of T1 corrupted pieces. What worries me is that I don't see the "increase crit damage" corruption values being adjusted to be balanced this way. Hopefully that will come in a later change. EDIT: Nevermind, I see that they were changed, so I am relieved.
Can't wait to do some theorycrafting, this system looks promising
