you've got people who want to play classic cause its classic, then youve got people who are payed to play classic cause no one has world firsted it yet, these bunch are the latter
Of course they did... I hope this doesn't some how damage the general perspective of the player base's desire of "the journey is more important than the destination" ethos.
I am so excited for this, I have spent the last 2 months working on my route in leveling. I know exactly how much I need to grind and how many I need to kill of each and every mob. As long as nothing has changed and everything goes to play I will be aiming for 60 in 3 days played time! If you are curious in my route and how I have planned this then your more than welcome to check it out Method or Wowhead as ill be doing a 4 day charity stream!
In terms of world first raids, pushing to 60 by yourself or with 1-2 others might actually be a detriment. It may very well be that those who level the guild as more of a group than individually may do better as they will be more coordinated, and geared as a whole and not individually. That said, I don't see classic world first going to be as big as BFA, for the simple reason that we already know everything; the fights, the best way to get loot, etc. We also no longer have bugs and lag that were present during the original fights. I imagine no tier will be alive for longer than a week tops. But who knows. Good luck to those that participate. I'll be too busy leveling at my own pace to watch the streams.
Please don’t. If you want to do a race to see who can level up and kill the bosses faster go ahead, but by no means this is a world first.Ascent and Ruined earned the world first back in 2005 for Ragnaros and Onyxia respectively. Don’t try to hog “the world first” for yourselves.
Boring. Let someone else win for once, not a bunch of people begrudgingly playing because their sponsors say to.
As a method fan i have to say this, what world first? the world first classic kills happend 15 years ago

Taliesin was right. He is so gonna crow over that.
Apart that I really do not give a crap about watching other people play a game instead of playing it myself. Why is this "a full 8 days! "instead of "a full 60+ days!"?Just no-lifing the #$%^ out of it, how does that play along with the mantra of playing the game at a different pace thathas been repeated countless times by classic advocates?Talliasin told in his last video that they determined it would take 11 days to get into the raids. This is exactly why I do not buy into the Classic hype.We have been there already, we did every single quest, we left no stone unturned in Azeroth. That does not make it good content, it essentially makes it no content.I envy those who can experience WoW for the first time. But Classic will not bring back this feeling of a new unexplored world if you have been around in Azeroth for a while now.
I think it will be a quick race, racers know what to do from level 1 until Ragnaros dies, applying meta to Classic is overkill.
