This hints on possibility of unlock requirements existing allied races being lifted (or reduced) in next expansion prepatch.
"Ironclad Frostclaw: Captured in the snows of Alterac Valley, this bloodthirsty hunter now roars for the Alliance."Someone forgot to tell Blizz that wolves don't "roar"...they "howl".
heh. so while one chunk of the player base is off taking the faction thing a bit too seriously, those of us who were just enjoying ourselves get two mounts. cool, I'll take it.
Cool! My void elves can ride wolves again!
As someone who actually played both sides to the end, i cannot understand the 3 or something posts here saying the Alliance is not clearly the "morally superior" faction. You do not even have to go into any detail about anything (though i will in the next paragraph) but just look at the general tone of the quests. As an Alliance PC you are either asked to do something or commanded in a military kind of way to take action by characters who follow a strategy to win a war. They do not seek to make the entire world suffer, it's just about a military conflict. On the Horde side you are constantly yelled at by !@#$ing Nathanos. Not in a military way. He obviously hates you because you are more powerful and closer to his fetish "queen" than him. The commands he gives you have NOTHING to do with military style at all. It's just about inflicting as much suffering as in any way possible - both on you (the player) and your victims - these victims need not be of any importance or adversery to the Horde or even Nathanos, he just LOVES to see people suffer. The military agenda of the Horde is of no importance to him. He has only two goals: Make the world a worse place and suck it up to his "queen". These are the only two things he cares for. Nothing else. And you are FORCED to do what this &*!@#$% says all the time.I hated every single bit of the Horde Campaign. In a Mass Effect game, it would have clearly been the "renegade option"...but WoW does not give you any options of that kind. The fact that they make me steal corpses as a Paladin/Druid, which would make you a FALLEN in any and all other franchises and lose your power, is disgusting.I loved when Nathanos had to go back to "his queen" to lick some more saliva and i was actually free to do something for the Zandalari, Vulpera or Tortollan. Only to have this &*!@face show up again whenever i started to enjoy the expansion and make me more miserable. I had to actually install an addon to block him from reading WQ VO to me.I also read that some characters on the Alliance Campaign were somehow twisted and diminished......how can you even say something like this compared to the disgusting display of the Horde? Voss? 100% ripped of her character. Rexxar? Castrated and twisted into another "loyal" corpse collector for Sylvanas who joined the Horde for good after they commited genocide against CHILDREN because - get that - Jaina has killed too many people? The Horde Campaign was among the worst things i had to suffer through in this game. I felt absolutely miserable while doing it. In comparison, the Alliance Campaign was weak, sure, but it did not make me suffer. It was just a very underwhelming chain of quests that should have been much shorter. The only good part of the Alliance Campaign so far was the Indiana Jones citation in the end.
