That statue looks sweet!I hope they impliment the BM/surv buff they talked about before soon, I dislike playing MM :P
Agreed sir. I miss playing BM already :( Sad day....
Does anyone else hate how OP the satchel is becoming? It's not like I really choose to dps but I'm a mage, i have no choice and now am missing out on all this extra loot just because people keep complaining about queue times.
LOL I just got the Green Winter Hat from Butcher right before coming here to check out why, so I guess I'm confirming the drop. Ironically?, it was the ONLY loot I've gotten from LFR this week, QQ bad luck.
Agreed! I was kicked from a raid for being surv so I switched to MM. My dps went up by a lot but I hate it . I love survival.
I hope they fix the drop rate in Highmaul period. I've gotten one piece of gear, and it was something I already had a better piece of gear on.
Well I'm kind of glad that I decided not to do LFR yet. Guess I better do it soon.
The satchel is just.... The ones with tank and healer specs will still queueing because is more faster to queue and join a group as a healer or a tank. But queueing as dps in df is really annoying because you need to wait really really a long time until you get a group. There is no incentive for queueing as a dps.
They should just give tanks and healers the bag at all times. That should really get the queue times down, as it is I really don't see the call to arms show up that much, especially on healing. I don't know what Blizz considers a shortage worthy of giving the satchel but when DPS queues are 40 minutes and neither tank or heals are offered the bag it's not helping.
I must resist getting any mount! The sales are pretty tempting but with 200+ mounts, b-net shop mounts are lost among your collection and forgotten. I have skyreaver cause I loved his unique model and animation for a mount but even like this I rarely use him and if he pops up when I press the summon favorite mount button. Besides if I ever get invicible and pureblood firehawk, these are the only mounts I need! Hardcore collectors might wanna get them though to have as many mounts as possible for the achievements if they don't care about using them or have money to spare, also people that want some cool mounts but they are bored to farm anything these are very nice mounts and by all means if they like wow they should get one to travel in style. Simple mount collectors that solo farm casually will probably wanna skip these as the mounts they are after are equally beautiful and well-detailed (some of them anyway) and trust me you will use them for like one month but then they will just go to the summon favorite mount cycle.
As a Mount collector (at 198 right now.. sooooo close) I have most of the store mounts, just missing the 2 newest (that aren't discounted) and I'll happily wait until they are discounted.Another 2-3 weeks and I'll have shadowmourne finished for that mount.Glad to see I wasn't the only non-MM hunter that is hurting for the buff..the satchel is 'nice' on my dk, but feels empty and not worthwhile... most ive gotten are some flawless pet stones (2) and mechanopeep the battle pet. Having gear is a nice lil improvement for gearing alts... with that it'll be a lil easier to get alts geared up the instant they hit 100... no more running dungeons to gear up to run heroics... instant 630s... Still wish they'd add a few more mounts to the mix, add like 5 random other mounts just for more incentive, gonna hate it it if I do get a mount and I already have it :P
still, it shouldnt be so OP. it has a chance to drop almost anything from mounts to gear. dps should have a similar thing somehow.
It never has been, and still is not, an incentive to queue as a tank. Unless it provides constant drops of savage blood, or something else to affect raiding, that change is bound to have 0 effect on queue times.EDIT:I gave the satchel tune a second thought, and i was wrong. It will have an effect. It will help tanks to gear up faster, and move out of the blue game faster. Naturally, this will make the queue for others even longer.
I'm very upset the grommash hellscream statue didn't include his pierced nipples.
A lot of people seem to miss the point of the satchel. It has one purpose and ONE alone:Shorten queue times. For those saying that it should be offered to DPS, guess what? IT IS! The satchel is automatically offered to any role that is in high demand. If the day comes that the dungeon queues are overrun with tanks and healers and DPS is in high demand then DPS will get the satchel. That day will probably never come because people have more fun playing DPS. I know I do. There is a lot less pressure on DPS. Sure there are a few fights where DPS needs to shine (I remember having to coordinate an elaborate kiting scheme in nax 40 for Gluth) but tanks and healers need to shine EVERY fight. In general, if dps messes up their rotation the fight takes longer. If a tank or healer messes up he dies and it's a wipe. Also you have that life bar there constantly reminding you of the danger you're in.I am a guardian/feral druid. Most the time I won't run a heroic as a tank without that bonus. I will queue for dungeon as dps and wait if there is no satchel, but if there is a satchel I will queue as tank. A couple times I have accepted offers of gold for tank queues. My point is that for me (and apparently for many others) it takes an extra incentive to want to run a dungeon as a tank because it's hard, ESPECIALLY at the start of a new expansion. Not even the instant queue is incentive enough by itself (though it is pretty darn nice).
I wrote a big comment that included this, but I'll mention it as a reply here too. The satchel IS offered to DPS. It's offered to any role in demand. Blizzard has laid the foundation for DPS to get the satchel, now all the player base needs to do is start playing so many tanks and healers that DPS is in high demand! I mean you already need THREE DPS for each ONE healer or tank.
