WoW Esports Twitter Teases Mystery WoW Classic Esports Event

The WoW Esports twitter account has teased a potential WoW Classic event. In their tweet, they show an image of the Warsong Gulch loading screen with a logo and title obscured.
This tweet also coincides with Blizzard adding a
WoW Classic Esports page
to their Chinese site, tracking wargames and recording wins, losses, and flag caps. Could an official Warsong Gulch event be coming to NA/EU servers, along with match tracking for western regions as well?
This would be the first time Blizzard has organized an official event for Classic WoW Esports, although the community has created popular events in the past like the
Classic Dueling League
and even Twitch has joined in the fun with a
Warsong Gulch Edition
of Twitch Rivals. Earlier this month, Blizzard added the option to create
Classic Wargames
. This addition, while launched without much fanfare, adds spectator functionality which is huge for Esports.
