Why Should I Find Rares and Special Events in The Maw?

Rares and events are a good daily source of Стигия - With Stygia being a rare commodity in the Maw, rares and events are the best source for Stygia to purchase supplies from Ve'nari.

Rares and events are also a solid way of farming reputation with Ve'nari - Each event grants 40 reputation with Ve'nari, and each rare grants 80 reputation with the Broker. In addition, the rares have a chance to drop Maw Lore, items that can be delivered to Ve'nari for an additional 100 reputation per.

For achievement hunters, killing all available rares and events at the Maw grant the achievements Пусть знают, с кем имеют дело and Лучше быть везучим, чем мертвым. Retrieving Maw Lore also eventually completes the achievement Понять замысел Смерти.

I dont' know if anyone will read this.
I only do elite rares, they give 100 rep. I'm also tank, so I'll do dailies up to 90% (like if 9/10 for item or w/e). Than go do elite rares only. I can do 6 elite, 1 rare, 7th elite before I get 5 stacks. Than I finish dailies. Up to you if you want, but dailies only worth 75, did get 1 worth 100 (this is not counting the weeklies you get from Ven on tuesday, those i do).

Here is a couple macro's you can check if you've done the 9 known elites that I'm aware of. 3 are summons will require 3 more people. Usually not hard to get people.

I use Super Duper Macro, make 2 floating, and put the click command in 1 normal macro so I can see all 9 true or not. The numbers after are way points, but you have to manually put in. So Borr-geth /way 39 41 for example.

EDIT: A rare you might want to do Conjured Death, 80 rep instead of 40 and reg rare, does not fill bar as much as elites.

EDIT2: Once Ambivalent with Ven, you get a hunt each half a week, 2 a week. 525 rep each. Make sure you do them, they do fill up a bar, but worht way more than anything else besides Ven's weeklies.

Not sure if this gets read but I really hope it helps!
I've made a full route guide with ve nari in order to get 1500 rep a day after the daily hand ins. I also located all of the guaranteed drops as a part of Deciphering Deaths Intentions in order to maximise rep ASAP to get those sockets & torghast upgrades unlocked. Basically getting the maximum rep each day entails finishing the daily quests while at 5 threat, yes which is possible even after the change to the stacks resetting when at max threat. By focusing just on the 600k+ HP Rares you get 100 rep per kill and the same threat as killing a daily objective or smaller rare (which reward 40 or 80 rep respectively).
With the chance at the Maw Mount being in the beast warrens unlocking ve nari rep will be a huge advantage to getting early sockets on pieces.

I've been able to farm all but 4 of these items which has helped me get 6200 rep into cordial, including finding the guaranteed spawn location of several of the items:

Tormentors Notes (35.77 45.55)
Tormentors Box (72.59 17.62)
Wailing Coin (Odalrik)
Warsworn Orders (Cyrixia)
Words of the Warden (19.37 33.42)
Korrath's Grimoire:Aleketh (Dath Rezara)

These alone will help you get 700 rep at least (without human or Dark Moon Faire buff) as they reward 100-150 rep and can be turned in even at max threat.

Let me know if you've got anything extra to add as well, it would be great to start a detailed thread for rep grind with ve nari so we can get those sockets early!

TL;DR - Kill 600k+ HP rares, finish dailies up to 90% then 100% at threat 5, get as many of Deciphering Deaths Intentions (Achievement) items as possible

Eternas the Tormentor spawns at 19.34, 45.91 and not 27.4 49.4 as mentioned on the list above.
