Upcoming Changes to Cooking in Shadowlands Patch 9.2

- Set out a Kettle of Stone Soup, ready to fill with delicious ingredients. Finish it to to feed up to 35 people in your raid or party! Once complete, restores 48077 health and 38462 mana over 20 sec. Must remain seated while eating. If you spend at least 10 seconds eating you will become well fed and gain 20 in a stat for 1 hour. (3 Min Cooldown)

Why is Cooking Useful in Shadowlands?

Stat food is one of the cheapest buffs you can give yourself, and it lasts for an hour. With 3 yields per combine, you can make yourself a lot of stat food.

You can use found food for a useful purpose. While most Shadowlands recipes do require fish, there are a couple recipes that rely only on food you find in the wild.

Shadowlands provides some new, fun recipes! Who doesn't love randomly breathing fire?

People who provide feasts to their raids and parties are popular people!

- farmed from Beasts, mostly "traditional" beasts

- farmed from Beasts, mostly off wasps, moths, and other insects

- farmed off winged Beasts (makes sense)

Fish:

- common catch from all four zones

- fished in Bastion

- fished in Maldraxxus

- fished in Ardenweald

- fished in Revendreth

- rare catch from all four zones. These are only used in the Feast recipes.

is a rare loot from , which spawns in random locations around Korthia. It's an amusing recipe, since doctoring bread with bone meal has been a long-standing accusation in the not-so-distant past.

is a loot from , another random spawn. These are usually found on top of trees. Now with more rocks!

's source is unknown, but since it's currently listed as restoring 0 mana over 20 seconds, only the most diehard recipe collectors will want to bother unless something changes (not to mention that the max skill on the recipe is listed as 100, but it's already grey by 75).

Shadowlands Soul Foods

- While out of combat heal for 3250 every 5 sec for 1 hour.

- Periodically breathe fire, dealing 400 damage to enemies in front of you.

How to Level Cooking in Shadowlands

Light Meals range from level 1 and will take you up through level 40.

Cooking Large Meals starts at level 30 and will take you through level 65.

Soul Foods start at level 60 and take you all the way to level 75.

I just have to say, I love the fact that they are taking the opportunity afforded by Shadowlands and it's otherworldly setting to make some of the foods equally outlandish: Steak a la Mode in particular made me laugh just reading it. Pickled Meat Smoothie just makes me cringe, but also makes me strangely curious!

Personally I hate the fact all buff food has fish requirements. Absolutely stupid.

For Суфле из иглотелой пираньи с картошкой, even though the Cooking list shows it requires level 45 , the Vendor wont sell it and requires Level 50 before purchase is possible.

Also the recipe for Жареная альбула has changed. The 2 x Мясо мерзкого ползуна has been substituted for 2 x Иглотелая пиранья, making it an all fish dish.

Expect the Haste food to be very expensive trough the whole expansion.

The Tenebrous Ribs have an insanely low drop-rate, currently.

Am I missing something or is the more expensive feast only give 2 more stat than the cheaper feast?

QUIET HOUNDS wasn't offered at 75. I'm max level now and it's still not showing up on Chef Au'krut. Is there an additional requirement to get this recipe?

HI all

I done Кулинария with Fishing in same time. To get to 75 on Cooking i used only Fish :D. Cooking and fishing Trainer are in same place in Oribos 47 24.

Guide:

Step 1:

- Learn Cooking and Buy all recipes ( make sure you have Крекеры с икрой is from skill 0 )
- Learn Fishing and buy all tools from Снабженец Ау'нагл ( buy rod if you dont have any other "Снасть брокера" )

Step 2:

Fly to Bastion and catch ( I was doing it in 46 30 ):
- 80+ Бесплотная плотва Better to get at the beginning more you will need them later ( this fish can be catch every where )
- 30+ Среброжабрая щука This you will get any way is in same place where Бесплотная плотва but main focus on Бесплотная плотва.
Make Крекеры с икрой until lvl 25 of cooking then Move back Oribos to buy new recipe Сладкие колбаски из среброжаброй щуки and Похлебка из альбулы с корицей
Make Сладкие колбаски из среброжаброй щуки to get minimum 30 lvl of Cooking.
Buy new Recipe Сладкие пироги с сериолой

Step 3:

Fly To Maldraxxus to catch 65+ Щербатая альбула ( I was farming in 61 75 ) better catch more you will need them later.
Make Похлебка из альбулы с корицей to 43 Cooking skill
Fly to Ardenweald to catch 21 Радужная сериола ( I was doing it 48 32 )
Make Сладкие пироги с сериолой to get Cooking on 50 lvl.

Step 4:

Fly back to Oribos for new recipe Радужные равиоли с яблочным соусом
Fly to Ardenweald to catch 90 Радужная сериола ( I was doing it 48 32 )
Make Радужные равиоли с яблочным соусом Until Cooking lvl 70.

Step 5

Fly back to Oribos for new recipe Жареная альбула
Fly to Revendreth and catch 10 Иглотелая пиранья ( I was doing it 63 43 )
Make Жареная альбула until Cooking lvl 75.

When i had 10 Иглотелая пиранья i had fishing on 185, If you want just stay fishing Иглотелая пиранья until 200 Fishing lvl.

Now You can use all meat xD.

I dunno, perhaps its just me? I found levelling cooking (and my other professions) simple, easy and rather unsatisfying in Shadowlands. I appreciated it much more in Legion and before. I was able to level my two professions and cooking in a matter of 1.5hrs *meh*

The Удивительно вкусное пиршество doesn't give 18 to a stat for one hour, it gives 21 to a stat for 1 hour.
