Not sure how it will change once MoP hits, but Лопата травника will be a must have once the expansion hits. Also, Перчатки травника would never hurt either to have on hand in some of those tough spots regardless of expansion.

Great guide, I have been herbing since vanilla and this guide would help anyone if they are... umm.. green at the profession (couldn't help myself, sorry).

i have seen lots of posts about mount hyjal haveing herbs showing up as gray. i am at 475 and its gray for me also. i still get skill off them. With the new patch of mop the levels of some herbs have been moved up and wowhead and a few other sites are not up to date on these.cinderbloom starts at 425 and will be good till 500. Most other herbs in hyjal will get you to 525. Whiptail in uldum will get you all the way to 600. but will be green around 575.

For horde player I'd rather be in Kalimdor collecting herbs since Orgrimmar is there. But it seems that Kalimdor isn't such great place to levelling herbalism.

fantastic guide, very helpful.
but i found that i could skip outland entirely and just go straight to howling fjord, if i squeezed a few extra skill points out of swamp of sorrows

great guide however at around 490 all the herbs in hyjal went gray for me so i had to go deepholme for heartblossom up to 500

Thanks for this mate, helped a lot. It does drag a lot leveling herbalism and some of those herb camouflage pretty well.

I get herbalism..but inscription is lower that inscription..i need to back to place wher i am pick up herb and lvl up ins xD

For Alliance:
There is no ship that sails from Stormwind to Howling Fjord.
To get there fast from Stormwind you have to go/portal to Ironforge and fly to Menethil Harbor from where you can take the boat to Howling Fjord. Other option is to take portal to Theramore then a boat to Menethil and another boat to Howling Fjord. It's a bit of a hassle but the boat ride to Valgarde is pretty nice!

For Horde:
Take a portal to Undercity then go to a tower outside and take a zepellin to Howling Fjord. If you are in Orgrimmar and can't find a friendly mage to portal you to Undercity you have to take a zepplin to Undercity first.

Both factions can take portal to Dalaran and fly to Howling Fjord from there. Flying from Borean Thundra takes forever.

The easiest way for Horde to get to Swamp of Sorrows now is by taking a mage portal to Stonard, especially if you are at the level of that area, rather than high enough to take the portal to HFP.

This is a great guide,but how do you learn herbalism at level 60. I decided to change professions and cannot find a trainer that will teach level 1. I have been to the starting areas and they all now start at cataclysm... which I cannot learn because I do not know level 1...

For Dragonflight (and those levelling herbing/inscription for the resurrected Zul Gurub patterns that require max. Classic skill):

You no longer need to visit the trainer to level up Classic. It goes all the way to 300.
You can gather any Vanilla herb to get a skill point. However you will get less of it, or only gather Petals (10 can be combined into a full herb), if your skill level is too low. For example, in Northern Stranglethorn: at 85 skill I was getting full Bruiseweed (Yellow), but 10-15 Стебель корня жизниs, 6-12 Лепесток королевской кровиs, 16 Лепесток дикого сталецветаs (Orange); at 119 1-3 Королевская кровь ; at 130, 1 Дикий сталецвет; at 145 1-3 Корень жизни.
The portal changes from Shadowlands mean that it is as effective to use the Stranglethorn route for Horde for Kingsblood etc. The portal to Undercity (which requires you to fly out of the underground city) and the boat to Stranglethorn Vale are on the same tower: /way 53 53 Ogrimmar East Flight Tower

For non-leather wearers, if you need to get gloves less than item level 50 for the Gatherer enchant, white items are sold by vendors in the city. Ask a guard for the Tailoring/Leatherworking/Blacksmith trainers and there's usually an armour vendor for Cloth/Mail/Plate in the same shop as the trainer.
If you're doing this on a character that's not a druid (I know it's insane, but most of my profession characters have craft/gather rather than dual crafting!), and you have it in your collection, Механизированный хвататель разностей or Небесный голем mounts allow you to herb whilst mounted.
