Why Worgen and Goblins COULD work

So Blizzcon is a mere month away, and Ye Olde Rumore Mille is churning full blast, mostly about the alleged new races of Worgen and Goblins. Now, last I checked (and I check frequently) I don't work for Blizzard so I have no clue what tricks they may or may not have up their collective sleeve and no idea what, if any, new races may show up to the party in the next expansion.
But, since this is teh intrawebz, people are already taking sides and the debate rages. Since the majority of what I have read is a deluge of "OMG GOBLINZ R 4 NUTRAL!" and the like with a few people pointing out the counter, I have collected for your reading pleasure all the reasons why they could be the new races.
I'm definitley not saying they will be, or even should be (seriously, except for the like 8 guys playing goblins we'd all be rolling WOLFMANZ! and we all know it, ugh)
Alliance - Worgen
Gave the Worgen to the Alliance for two reasons:
1 - Gave Goblins to the Horde for more reasons, listed in their spot
2 - Worgen would make the Horde simply too awesome and it would explode with enough force to destroy the world
All the Worgen in-game are evil vicious beasts who both factions fight in various zones. This does NOT mean that all Worgen are mindless killing machines.
There's an unfinished Emerald Dream expansion idea on wowwiki, but the races are done and though they gave Worgen to the Horde, they make a pretty good point. Worgen were originally brought to Azeroth from their homeworld against their will, and being forcibly ripped through the Twisting Nether could mess with your mind, which is why all the Worgen on Azeroth are feral crazy-go-nuts. Maybe some have gone un-crazy.
Also, people may have heard of Pyrewood Village, where the human villagers are Alliance friendly by day and turn into Worgen at night. Which is right by Gilneas. Which is closed off. Maybe some snuck through? Maybe Gilneas is a happy Worgen land where they sit and sing songs all the time? Everyone throws around Gilneas as a Worgen starting zone, but everyone then says that makes no sense because they'd go from there to Silverpine which is a Horde zone.
/facepalm
It's called Kul Tiras.
It's in lore.
Let's not forget that before the Draenei were announced as a race, the only Draenei we knew were the shrivled little things running around the Swamp of Sorrows and Blasted Lands. If Worgen were to show up, they could be a different "strain" in Gilneas. Just saying, they've done it before.
Horde - Goblins
Goblins for the Horde pretty much makes sense. They currently run the Horde zeppelins. They've fought with the Horde in the past. The Alliance already has a race of small, annoying engineers.
The main argument that people state over and over again is that Goblins can't ever join either faction because they are a neutral race. Stop doing that.
Goblins are not one unified race who all do the exact same thing any more then the other races are. The Human starting area of Northshire has you killing other Humans of an enemy "faction" (Defias) as one of your first quests. To turn around and say that different Goblins can't do different things is just, well, really really stupid. *cough* Steamwheedle Cartel *cough* Venture Company *cough cough*
Maybe one faction of Goblins decided it would be more profitable to them to side with the Horde. If the next expansion is the Great Sea, Alliance and Horde would be heavily expanding into that area, that would be a good opportunity for someone to feel that one side was in their best interests and go with them. That doesn't mean all Goblins are suddenly a part of the Horde. Go tell the Scarlet Crusade they're part of the Alliance and have to get along with everybody. See how that goes.
There, now stop insisting that this could never ever happen. You sound like the people before TBC who would fly into a rage and scream "HORDE WILL NEVER HAVE PALADINS!"
Sure... sure.

Why would Gilneas starting site be Kul Tiras?
Besides the fact that Genn Greymane is a obsessed isolationist monarch, why would he have ships being sent to the bits and pieces of whats left of Kul Tiars?

Why would Gilneas starting site be Kul Tiras?
I meant that Gilneas would make a good 1-10 zone, Kul Tiras 10-20. Both are human kingdoms, former members of the Alliance, well established in lore, tied to the Great Sea, and cut off from the outside world since before WoW started. Nobody knows what's going on there, it's not inconcieveable that they have joined together for mutual protection in the span of years since. And t'would be a nice gateway to the Great Sea for the Alliance.
If somebody can find the link, I'd appreciate it, but I believe just before 3.1 there was an interview with Metzen talking about how they had "big plans" for Gilneas. Of course, he didn't specify what or when, but they're cooking up something. Could be new racial starting zone, could be anything else.
About Pandaren:
China ftl, not going to happen very soon :/
Not actually true, though that gets tossed around more then anything else I've seen. China does not have a problem with Pandaren being in the game, no matter how many times someone tells you pandas are sacred and can't be killed even in a video game. The problem was that pandas are a national symbol of China and the first concept art of Pandaren showed them in traditional Japanese attire. That was China's problem.

View.
This has been accurate thus far, and look at the date it was posted.
Check out "Maelstrom Set" (expansion), as well as two starting locations, one referring to Pandarin.
Do you know how old that list is?
Why does it matter how old it is?
If anything, its age is what lends it credibility - coupled with the fact that it was a blue poster on the Blizzard forums
and
has been accurate on expansion info up to this point.

I'm giving this one shameful bump before I let it die, since I renamed it to make it more clear what it's even about.

That picture is so fake - and even if it weren't, blizzard has already said that they've changed how they're going to push out expansions. Have we seen pandaren in game yet? No, it goes again pre-seeding. You lost, Worgen for Alliance Goblin for Horde stfu end of discussion.

This.
The OP makes logical sense of the possibility of Worgen and Goblin as playable races...however, it's all speculation based off of models for Halloween Masks. I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet.

You're right. Clearly, they can't be added into the game with an expansion.

Am I the only person who thinks Pandaren are a ridiculous idea? The concept doesn't fit. WoW has for the most part a rather typical lineup of Tolkien-ish type races, then BAM ... panda people? No more furries please. Tauren are enough, Worgen would be pushing it.
I agree with an ealier poster, we need a playable neutral faction. Goblins and ogres would be a good start. I've always wanted to play an ogre warrior in WoW. They're very similar in appearance to EQ ogres, haha. Sweet nostalgia factor there.
